Young Artist Program

Felting

For students between the age of 5 and 10, I develop instructional and thematically exciting subject matter that will be appealing and highly educational at the same time. In a friendly group situation, through these projects I give a basic understanding of all aspects, such as portrait and figure painting or perspective, in an easy and fun way. For instance my project “Universe of Planets” will teach how to shade bright colors of pastels in order to paint 3 dimensional geometric spheres. Once motivation takes place, even very young children can learn more easily, quickly and joyfully than in most other art programs.

…and because children love to learn and use new things all the time, my students will get to use a large variety of great art material and explore mixed media within the course of my programs.

  Teen Art Program

Felting

In classes for students age 11 and older, the studio art experience focus is more complex. Young artists refine "know-how" in the genre of "realism" through the development and execution of projects such as multi-color linoleum printing, illustration, and painting on paper and canvas. Themes include studies of still life, perspective, figure, portrait/self portrait, and collage work. Subject matter within the projects leaves space for student’s individual choices and expression.
